Darragh Maguire

Darragh graduated with a BSc Physiotherapy in 2014 from UCD. His Dissertation assessed the effect of a novel warm-up routine (GAA 15) on the he landing mechanics and balance of minor level Gaelic Football players, which he presented at FSEM (Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine) Annual Scientific Conference.
Darragh worked for a year in St. Colmcilles Hospital, Loughlinstown including an extended rotation in Musculoskeletal Outpatients. Currently, he works in Our Lady's Hospital Navan on a rotational basis. Since moving back home to Navan, he began working in Ronan Carolan’s Physiotherapy Practice in a part-time capacity.
Darragh is passionate about Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, and has undertaken further education on a variety of topics including; Cognitive Functional Therapy for chronic low back pain, Mobilisation of the Nervous System (Neuro Orthopaedic Institute) Hand Therapy (British Association of Hand Therapy Level 1) and Shoulder Assessment and Treatment. He has treated people from a wide spectrum of clinical presentation, from the athlete with acute muscle injury, to the person with persistent or longer term pain.
In his spare time, Darragh enjoys playing Gaelic Football with his local club, Navan O'Mahony's. He was part of Senior Championship winning sides in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
